Masonry Restoration Projects

Partial collapse of Brick wall

East Brunswick, New Jersey

This project involves structural repairs to a 103,200 SF warehouse with 30-foot-high walls, constructed with a brick veneer over CMU backing and a steel frame. The scope includes replacing all exterior brick wall ties due to corrosion and failure, repairing cracks in the CMU walls, and reinforcing the building corners to restore structural integrity.

Crack in concrete Block Wall

Maspeth,  New York

This project involved repairing structural cracks in both the exterior and interior CMU walls of a building with a CMU back and steel frame construction. The scope also included lifting and repairing sinking floors. All work was completed while the building remained occupied by multiple tenants, requiring careful coordination and minimal disruption.

Beaming/Lintel Repair

Long Island ,  New York

In this restoration effort, triple-wythe brick construction was stabilized by replacing damaged steel lintels. An alternate repair method was implemented for partially rusted lintels, involving anti-rust treatment and the strategic installation of Thor Helical bars to transfer structural loads

Wall Tie replacement, crack repairs, strap ties at façade

Taunton, Massachusetts

As part of a historic building’s conversion into apartments, this project involved key structural upgrades. Wall ties at the front façade were replaced due to corrosion, and cracks throughout the brick construction were repaired. Lintels over windows were reinforced using beam formations above the openings, reducing stress on the original steel elements. Strap ties were also installed at multiple floor levels to anchor the façade to the floor framing and interior walls.

Crack in Brick Walls

Englewood Cliffs,  New Jersey

This project involved repairing visible cracks in the brick veneer of a one-family residence. Over time, weather exposure and natural settling had caused the mortar joints to deteriorate and the brickwork to crack. Our team carefully assessed the damaged areas, removed loose and failing mortar, and repointed the joints using a matching mortar mix to ensure both structural integrity and visual consistency. The result is a reinforced, weather-resistant exterior that blends seamlessly with the original construction.

Retrofit wall ties to support rainscreen

Fort Lee ,  New Jersey

This project involved retrofitting wall ties across a 30,000 SF, five-story office building with a brick veneer exterior to prepare for the installation of a rainscreen system. Wall ties were installed to reinforce the existing masonry, ensuring long-term stability and support. Cracks in the brickwork were also repaired using reinforcement bars to strengthen compromised areas and improve overall structural integrity.
